It’s not so much a theory than it is just an observation. Most of us all learned to read at around 5-6. A select few of us got sucked into the book world and have become bona fide book nerd, but although we may have always loved reading books, our tastes in books range far and wide and as we aged (like a fine wine) our reading preferences changed and evolved. I am here to present one such case study. Today we will all see how my reading tastes have changed through my short but spirited seventeen years.
At the beginning of every month I like to get my thoughts into order and make a list of all the great news books that are coming out over the next month. So last month I did something I never usually do and that is start off the month with a TBR list. I was pretty skeptical that I would read all the books on that list and it turns out I was right because even though I set my expectations really low and set my TBR list at 5 books I somehow managed to not read any of the books on my list. I am currently reading Wayfarer, (which was on that list but I’m only halfway through) but that doesn’t count. It’s the holiday season and there’s nothing better than curling up in bed with a good book and a hot cup of cocoa. I’m currently reading The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss and I am LOVING it. A review will definitely be heading your way soon. Since Christmas is just around the corner I thought it was only fitting to spread some of that holiday cheer with the ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU book tag.
I think it’s safe to say by now that 2016 has been a really bad year, but if there’s one thing it has going for it, it’s given us some really great books.
