Together, these three friends forge a bond that will one day shape kingdoms. And as Ozorne gets closer to the throne and Varice gets closer to Arram’s heart, Arram begins to realize that one day soon he will have to decide where his loyalties truly lie.

In the Numair Chronicles, readers will be rewarded with the never-before-told story of how Numair Salmalín came to Tortall. Newcomers will discover an unforgettable fantasy adventure where a kingdom’s future rests on the shoulders of a talented young man with a knack for making vicious enemies.

My Month in Books: February’18 Edition

Another month and more books read. February was a weird month, looking back on it, it seems to have lasted forever, but it’s the shortest month. That probably has to do with the fact that I’m a second-semester senior and time just seems to be dragging on. I did manage to read a grand total of 16 books this month (YAY) and really enjoyed them.

In non-bookish news, the school year seems to be dragging on and college is looming large. Decisions need to be made-soon! as my parents keep reminding me- and I’ve had the last of my interviews over the past month. Back to book-ish news; I went to LibraryPalooza again this year, and had a lot of fun at that bookish convention. With all of that out of the way, let’s get back to why were here, the books I read this month:

Ikram’s Theory of Bookish Evolution

It’s not so much a theory than it is just an observation. Most of us all learned to read at around 5-6. A select few of us got sucked into the book world and have become bona fide book nerd, but although we may have always loved reading books, our tastes in books range far and wide and as we aged (like a fine wine) our reading preferences changed and evolved. I am here to present one such case study. Today we will all see how my reading tastes have changed through my short but spirited seventeen years.

A lot of new books come out each year and I find that is I look at new releases over a period of months it’s a lot harder for a book I’m interested in to slip past me. So here are the books that I am excited for this month.Read More »

January 2017 Wrap-up

So last month I did something I never usually do and that is start off the month with a TBR list. I was pretty skeptical that I would read all the books on that list and it turns out I was right because even though I set my expectations really low and set my TBR list at 5 books I somehow managed to not read  any of the books on my list. I am currently reading Wayfarer, (which was on that list but I’m only halfway through) but that doesn’t count. Even though I didn’t read any of the books on my TBR list I did manage to read a total of 9 books this month.Read More »

It’s the holiday season and there’s nothing better than curling up in bed with a good book and a hot cup of cocoa. I’m currently reading The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss and I am LOVING it.
